Scope
- Finalise 90% design to construction issue and provide design certification
- Preparation of Photographic Archival Recording Report for heritage purposes
- Demolition of adjacent structure, internal demolition and strip out & removal of steel gantry frame, removal of residual hazardous materials (asbestos, vinyl flooring, encapsulating lead paint)
- New structural steel to new stairs, new storage shed, internal frame for new level 1 of building 153 and new clerestory roof frame
- New concrete including external paving, excavation, formwork and reinforcement to new footings, new storage shed slab and level 1 bondek slab
- Restoration of existing heritage fabric i.e. steel trusses, windows to NE elevation
- New building and fit-out works including new windows and doors, floor & wall
finishes, joinery, fixtures and fitments, new ceilings and partitions, fixed and loose furniture and building signage
Key Considerations
- Maintaining and protection of existing heritage fabric
- Erosion and sediment control and environmental control measures due to working at waterfront
- Maintaining waste register for all disposed materials and crossing border from ACT to NSW
- Structural demolition and maintaining structural integrity of building by bracing and propping etc
- Managing safety for high risk activities in demolition stage and beyond
- Managing security on base and providing security escorts for sub-contractors
- Driving Indigenous Participation by engaging with Wreck Bay and local communities to provide employment opportunities
