Scope

• Finalise 90% design to construction issue and provide design certification
• Demolition of 8 existing detached brick dwellings and replacing with new double storey accommodation block comprising 14 units
• Parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure, adjacent structure, internal demolition
• New building and fit-out works including new windows and doors, floor & wall finishes, joinery, fixtures and fitments, new ceilings and partitions, fixed and loose furnishings
• Providing design solution to satisfy BCA with regards to DDA compliance
• Completion of a significant 5000m2 asbestos ground capping solution including rainwater harvesting & irrigation system, landscaping
• General external refurbishment to Jervis Bay Primary School & pre-school

Key Considerations

1. Design & Construct contract so detailed design co-ordination including shop drawings for precast concrete elements
2. Maintaining and protection of Flora and Fauna including Kangaroo Management Plan and Erosion & Sediment controls
3. Maintaining waste register for all disposed materials and crossing border from ACT to NSW
4. Structural demolition for removal of 8 dwellings
5. Managing safety for high risk activities in demolition stage and beyond and Hazardous
6. Material removal
7. Managing Earthworks in accordance with EPA Guidelines
8. Managing security on base and providing security escorts for sub-contractors
9. Driving Indigenous Participation by engaging with Wreck Bay and local communities to provide employment opportunities
